I got a new strategy, I tell people how much a commission is currently and I never hear from them again XD
That's right ;P I am open for commissions and they are $650 and won't be done until at least March (because the others in line are first and I'm guessing about a month a piece)

I'm also re-learning to post more pictures of progress, I forget that people still want to see things that I think is minimal progress but might be an interesting look at the process. I can take full advantage for my paid account and it's Scrapbook (so happy thankyou so much for it).

I know things seem really slow right now, it's got a lot to do with christmas and people being in the mood for visiting and going out.. don't worry it's all going to calm down and I'll be working really fast because I'll have nothing else to do!

December brings me a huge increase in the amount of plush commission notes at DA. It's so sad >_< many people want to buy a plush for someone but... it's too late already in december, well for christmas anyway :( Packages should be shipping this week to be ready by christmas. I'm not fast at making plushies, I have to take my time to to a good job. That makes me the worst person to commission for a deadline, even a long one ;D Christmas is out of the question at this point. If you want to commission something for christmas XD try June/July

Working hard today to finish magnezone, then I can get to working on those big three, one at a time, staying focused XD yeah that's how I roll. Riiiiiiight. No really I'm going to be very good about one project at a time during the week, and if I got other sewing pangs I will do it on the weekend and clean in all up again for monday and be all focused again.

No mailman today... I hope that just means that I don't have to sign for anything and that my light tent is at the box. I don't even mind if there are customs on it today, if it gets here today.

YAY full of energy with nothing to do but make plush! I'm still in sketches and pattern drafting mode right now, but planning is important :) This is the gentle time before christmas before everything gets crazy. Two weeks of peaceful bliss with lots of time to work! It's even better in January, nobody wants to come visit casually then ;D or go on any sort of outside adventures. I even had a dream about sewing last night =D it's been a while since that has happened, bonus that it was about a large dragon project that I am working on.

D'oh one bad news is, that cute sitting plush isn't a December relase after all, but a January one! Not real bad news, because I don't really have time to work on it in Dec anyway (CYNTHIA?)

A quote from Blythe Online Magazine -
"Fashion inspired by a polar bear can make the cold north wind and snowy weather quite enjoyable!"

I'm not sure where they are getting those facts, but I'm sure glad that Ryan has pre-ordered me that cute blythe for christmas.

PS: I think that smell is gone.

I was just thinking yesterday how it was so odd that I don't have any Fred Astaire movies at all. Today TCM has come to my rescue with a movie marathon, oh boy! This is a really good thing for me, it's great to help me focus on things :) I just watched Top Hat the other day but I can watch it again as it's one of my favs (Ryan hates it so much haha and he's never even seen it all the way through).

I'm so all over the place, sometimes I have to remind myself to do one thing at a time.

I'm on a big XMAS SUCKS rantfest right now. I'm sure it will pass soon.

I don't know if I said it before, but I actually ended up (pre)ordering one of these

I watched the anime too, and luckily I liked this character best XD because I don't want to buy the whole set or anything :/
I can't wait to see how they have put such a big head on that little body.. then steal it for my own evil purposes >:D I'll make some pokemon guys like that for sure! I'll have to think really hard about who.. but I have a few weeks before that even gets here. I like to plan ahead though ;D If it's a really really unbelievable design that I cant resist I might sneek making one in before christmas (My new sewing rules are no commission sewing on weekends and holidays (and days after concerts hehe) but that doesn't mean I cant sew at all ;D

Today I'm building bones out of plastic XD it's so fun even if I don't have the tool for it and I pinch my fingers (I'm so cheap!).

Yay the insides of dragon wings, joints, and fire fluff came =D (customs fees booo) I talked to the post office lady about big shipping and tracking etc. I might have to freight these plushies if they don't squish into a small enough box. I'll do my best though ;D the three box dimensions have to be under 2 meters combined.

So now I can start making some big things (note to self: one at a time ok there is not lots of space)
Well I can start after a puppy party! (and plenty of vacuuming afterward)

Yay

I forgot to finish that beanie pattern and stuff :( I really want to have that done so people can use it to make pressies for christmas, or whatever else the want to do with it. It shouldn't take me too long to draw out the directions. I must fix the pattern where it's wonky too.

I hope my light tent gets here really fast!

I've managed to reduce my internet use, now all I have to deal with is ADD and insomnia :( I'm seeing a pattern with that and winter :/

I don't know what to do right now. Something for sure. I want to get started so I can finish XD Clean the sewing room? Booooooooo cleaning!

Waiting in line for the lights concert.

I managed to pick up 80feet of paper today XD will be enough?????

Aww I got mail but no armature and joints yet :( please come soon that stuff! There are some BIG plastic black eyes in there and some orange, red and yellow faux fur for making FIRE =D I really hope that 20feet of armature is going to be enough for all the wings, I think I did some kind of math first.. ??? can always buy more I guess.

I got some foam, I haven't used anything but craft foam(Oh I better go pick up some of that too!) to make forms for the biting heads before. They have been fairly small compared to the one I'm doing this week.

Oh I don't think I mentioned that I DID get that lights plush done before the concert =D I got a photo outside while I was waiting in line with Ryans camera but he hasn't given it to me yet.

Hmmm it seems like I need to go shopping today ;D need some poster board, craft foam, still need that roll of paper and... oh! Thread. I better make some swatches and pick up matching thread for all that minky. It's an expensive thing to do sometimes, but matching thread is very important to making your plushies look good, and quality thread will make it more durable too.

I am trying so hard to learn about how to use a camera properly, but I am unteachable. I have to learn it all by experience. I think if I get all my cleaning chores out of the way and the shopping for those last few things done and there is still sunlight left, I'm going to photograph whiscash things finally. They need some love!

I've got a full house until tuesday, making it very hard to work on things >_< but I'll just keep cleaning and cleaning so at least I'll be ready once I have some time to myself for it.

I got a replacement camera with my warranty! I don't usually care for those extended warranties that you can get at some stores, but Future Shop has done a great job at making me happy by just replacing my camera instead of fixing it (and taking months). I love my camera though, and it was hard to leave it behind, even if it doesn't work. I don't like this too much because I'm usually not very lucky, and something like this is probably going to cost me somehow :(

OMG new Whiscash kid!!
