Bitchy FAQ time, inspired by recent bombardments to.. well pretty much everyone who makes plush ever. Many of you might be aware of this already, but I have a real hard time being clear with my poor language skills, especially without coming across as being bitchy. Here is my latest attempt to help some people understand why they can't have other peoples things just because they want them.
Can I have your pattern FAQ
No, I don't give out all my patterns. The work people pay me for is supposed to be one of a kind, so to preserve that, I do not give out my patterns that I use for these plush.
Patterns take time to design and even more time to perfect, they don't come from nowhere, so they are not free. This is why when you go to a store to get a pattern they cost money.
Plush artists work hard over may years to develop patterns, and they build a unique recognizable style of their own, asking for the pattern is like asking for someone's line art to make your drawing.
It starts with a pattern but will turn into "how do I put this together", tutorials take time, not everyone has time to make one just because you want one. Having a pattern will not give you the ability to recreate what you want the pattern of. It's best to learn about sewing from the huge amounts of sewing resources online, then try and make a plush.
I do have free patterns with tutorials, but it is up to you to learn about sewing yourself, I am happy to share techniques when I have the time to do so, and if I have had time (and even when I have not) you will find these here. If you have trouble using my tutorials, remember "you get what you pay for", you might want to buy a book with information by professionals.
